IFS Coaching
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is one of the key modalities I use when working with clients. It brings systems thinking to psychology – understanding our internal worlds as dynamic systems with interacting parts, like a forest or a village.
IFS is a simple yet deeply transformational evidence-based tool that can help build a deeper understanding and greater harmony within your own system.
Think about a time when you’ve been pulled in two ways or when you’ve had multiple conflicting thoughts or emotions. Often this can make us feel stuck or in tension and indecision. IFS is an ideal tool for these points, understanding them as parts working against each other. By building a greater awareness and communication with parts we can understand what drives them and what their needs are, which leads to inner healing and greater internal alignment.
IFS is a amazing system that sits really well with other tools, like meditation and zen, which I use with clients. There is a lot of material out there, but if you want to learn more I would suggest reading ‘No Bad Parts’ by Richard Schwartz
